Tariq Jamal

Tariq Jamal, Chief Information Officer, guides Alcamiā€™s technological transformation and strategic endeavors. He is proficient in digital transformation, ERP implementation, cybersecurity, and enterprise architecture, all of which are central to driving growth, fostering innovation, and enhancing operational efficiency. While at Lonza, Tariq managed IT Americas operations, focusing on strategic mergers, acquisitions, and system integrations, with an emphasis on SAP, Operations, and Commercial platforms. He seamlessly integrated IT operations following Lonza’s acquisition of Capsugel. At Capsugel, he managed the IT carve-out from Pfizer, laying a solid foundation for Capsugel’s growth and the subsequent sale to Lonza.

Prior, Tariq led IT transformations and managed complex integrations at Roche and Novartis, including the $50 billion+ acquisition of Genentech by Roche, consistently aiming to harness technology for strategic gain and operational superiority. He earned an MBA from Manchester Business School as well as completing advanced studies in analytics, AI, and strategic leadership at the Wharton School, MIT, and London Business School.
