Name: Michelle Shelton

Alcami Site: Wilmington, NC

How long have you been with Alcami?
I joined Alcami in September 2016.

What is your role?
I am an Assistant Scientist II. My roles include performing Microbial Limit Tests (MLT), Antimicrobial Effectiveness Test (AET), and growth promotion testing, as well as helping with special studies when the need arises.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?
The people I work with are the most rewarding part of my job. We are dedicated to completing projects accurately and on-time and we support one another daily to make sure that happens.

What are your team’s latest achievements?
Recently, our group completed an in-use admixture study that was performed in record time because of our teamwork. Our willingness to work together over a couple of days helped the client complete a critical need for their filing.

How do you see those accomplishments affecting the pharmaceutical industry?
The microbiology group understands teamwork allows us to meet the needs of our clients. When the clients' needs are met, the patients' needs are met and ultimately that is our end goal.
